MLB: San Francisco 3, Arizona 1

PHOENIX, July 21 (UPI) -- The San Francisco Giants beat Arizona 3-1 Tuesday, the ninth straight loss for the Diamondbacks.

Jerome Williams (9-6) gave up four hits and one run before he was relieved in the eighth inning as the Giants won for the fourth time in six games. Jason Christiansen got his first save.

Randy Johnson started for Arizona and gave up all three Giants' runs along with seven hits in seven innings. Johnson, the subject of trade rumors, is now 10-8.

Marquis Grissom got two hits and scored a run for the Giants. Danny Bautista drove in Arizona's lone run.

The Giants have won eight of their last 11 games.
