Costa advances in Austrian event

KITZBUHEL, Austria, July 20 (UPI) -- Spain's Albert Costa advanced to the third round Tuesday in his attempt to win the Generali Open Kitzbuhel in Austria for the fourth time.

The 11th-seeded Costa, who won the tournament in 1995, 1998 and 1999, eliminated Austrian Werner Eschauer 6-3, 6-7 (2-7), 6-3.

He will next play Peruvian Luis Horna, who defeated Alejandro Falla of Colombia 7-6 (7-3), 7-6 (7-2).

Others advancing included Florian Mayer of Germany and Juan Monaco of Argentina.
