Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
SEATTLE, July 18 (UPI) -- The Cleveland Indians recorded a 6-5 win Saturday evening over the Seattle Mariners in the third of a four-game series at Safeco Field.
Ben Broussard of the Indians had two hits and three runs, while Travis Hafner homered and Ronnie Belliard contributed two hits and scored twice.
David Riske pitched the ninth to earn his fifth save.
Bucky Jacobsen homered and has three runs for the Mariners, while Randy Winn got three hits and Bret Boone had two hits.
C.C. Sabathia, (6-4) earned the win. Ryan Franklin (3-8), had the loss, permitting four runs on six hits in six innings.
