SEATTLE, July 15 (UPI) -- Justin Leone's hit his first major-league home run Thursday night, a two-run shot in the seventh that gave Seattle a 2-1 victory over Cleveland.

Joel Pineiro worked eight innings as the Mariners ended a nine-game losing streak. Pineiro (5-10) allowed one run on four hits with two walks and five strikeouts.

Pineiro outpitched Jake Westbrook (6-5), who also went eight innings for his third complete game of the season. Westbrook gave up two runs on just four hits and struck out eight.

Cleveland has lost seven of 10.
