PHOENIX, July 16 (UPI) -- Shawn Green's grand slam home run lifted the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 4-3 victory over Arizona Thursday.

The win was the Dodgers ninth in 10 games. The Diamondbacks have lost seven of eight.

Green's slam in the eighth inning was the seventh of his career.

Wilson Alvarez (4-3) got the win in relief. Randy Choate (1-1) took the loss, pitching just a third of an inning in relief of Randy Johnson.

The Diamondbacks had run up a 3-0 lead. Juan Brito drove in one with a single in the second inning and Johnson singled during a two-run rally in the sixth.
