MLB: Anaheim 6, Chicago White Sox 2

CHICAGO, July 7 (UPI) -- Jeff DaVanon hit a three-run home run as Anaheim beat the Chicago White Sox 6-2 Tuesday.

It was Chicago's fourth straight defeat.

Devanon slugged his homer in the fourth inning off Freddy Garcia to send the Angels ahead to stay, 3-2, behind right-hander John Lackey.

Lackey allowed four hits and two runs in seven innings for his sixth win against eight losses this season. He struck out five.

Garcia took the loss, giving up seven hits and four runs in eight innings. He is now 5-

Paul Konerko hit a solo homer for the White Sox.
