
SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, July 5 (UPI) -- Chipper Jones had a season-high four RBI and Andruw Jones hit his first homer in over a month Monday to lead Atlanta to an 11-4 victory over Montreal.
The win moved Atlanta to 41-41 just past the halfway point of the season, the first time they have been at the break-even point since June 11.
The Braves jumped on Expos' starter Zach Day (5-9) for six runs in the first inning, capped by a three-run homer by Andruw Jones, his first homer since June 1 against Montreal.
Chipper Jones ended Day's outing with a two-run double in the second to make it 8-0. Chipper Jones also drove in two more runs with a single in the sixth, and left after scoring on double by Johnny Estrada.
Day suffered the worst outing in his career, surrendering a eight runs in 1 1/3 innings. Paul Byrd (2-1) pitched seven innings.
