ANAHEIM, Calif., July 4 (UPI) -- Adrian Beltre homered twice and Cesar Izturis knocked in three runs in the Los Angeles Dodgers 8-5 Saturday night victory over the Anaheim Angels.

Bartolo Colon (5-8) was ripped for seven runs and eight hits in four innings. The righthander allowed three home runs and gave up at least seven runs for the fourth time in 17 starts this season as his ERA rose to 6.57.

Beltre accounted for two of the homers, hitting a two-run shot in the first inning and a solo shot in the third. Izturis had an RBI double in the first and a two-run single in the fourth, giving the Dodgers a 7-4 lead.

Robin Ventura and Milton Bradley also homered for Los Angeles. Edwin Jackson, one of the Dodgers' top pitching prospects, left in the second inning with a mild strain of his right elbow.

Guillermo Mota (6-3) worked two perfect innings for the win. Eric Gagne retired the side in order in the ninth for his 84th straight save and 21st of the season.

Darin Erstad and Vladimir Guerrero belted two-run homers for the Angels.
