Aussie cyclists cleared of doping charges

MELBOURNE, July 3 (UPI) -- An Australian investigation has cleared five top Australian cyclists of drug allegations, allowing them to now compete in the Athens Olympics.

The five had been named by convicted drug cheat Mark French as regulars at an Adelaide "shooting gallery," the Melbourne Herald Sun reported Saturday.

Robert Anderson, a retired judge from the Western Australia Supreme Court, interviewed riders, coaches, the team doctor and cleaners who found needles and vials in French's bedroom in Adelaide on Dec. 2.

The five cleared cyclists are Shane Kelly, Brett Lancaster, Jobie Dajka, Sean Eadie and Graeme Brown.
