ATLANTA, June 30 (UPI) -- East Lake Golf Club and the PGA reached agreement Wednesday on a deal that will make the course the permanent site of the season-ending Tour Championship.

East Lake was the home course of golfing legend Bobby Jones.

A three-time host to the Tour Championship, East Lake is celebrating its 100th anniversary. This year's event, which involves only the top 30 on the tour's money list, will take place Nov. 4-7.

"We are pleased to announce that East Lake Golf Club will be the permanent home of the Tour Championship," PGA Commissioner Tim Finchem said. "This is an ideal partnership. Both East Lake Golf Club and the PGA Tour share the same passion for the game."

East Lake last hosted the Tour Championship in 2002, when Vijay Singh bested Charles Howell III by two strokes. Two years earlier, Phil Mickelson edged Tiger Woods by the same margin.
