SEATTLE, June 27 (UPI) -- Adam Eaton pitched into the seventh inning and Jeff Cirillo hit a three-run homer Sunday as San Diego posted a 5-1 victory over Seattle.
Eaton (4-7) gave up one run and three hits in 6 1/3 innings. The righthander walked two and struck out four.
Cirillo, who spent two disappointing seasons with Seattle before being dealt to San Diego in January, gave Eaton an early lead when he hit his first homer of the season in the opening inning.
Seattle starter Jamie Moyer (6-4) allowed five runs and four hits in five innings.
Jolbert Cabrera had an RBI single in the seventh for Seattle, which lost for the fifth time in six games. At 30-43, the Mariners have the second-worst record in the American League.
During the game, the Mariners traded ace righthander Freddy Garcia and catcher Ben Davis to the Chicago White Sox for catcher Miguel Olivo and two minor leaguers.
