Deanna Nolan scored 19 points Wednesday night, including four clutch free throws, as Detroit downed Charlotte, 65-50.

Detroit, which had a five-game winning streak snapped Tuesday nightagainst Washington, did not make a basket in the final 6:16 but went 13 of 13 from the line down the stretch.

The Shock made all 15 free-throw attempts in the second half and 19 of 21 overall.

Ruth Riley added 13 points, Merlakia Jones had 12 and Swin Cash 11 for the Shock. Detroit took the lead for good, 48-47, on a basket by Jones with 7:46 remaining.

Andrea Stinson had 16 points to pace Charlotte, which had a four-game winning streak snapped.

It was the only game on the WNBA schedule.
