TORONTO, June 23 (UPI) -- Reed Johnson's one-out single in the 10th delivered the deciding Wednesday night as Toronto ended Tampa Bay's 12-game winning streak, 2-1.
Tampa Bay was four outs away from its team-record 13th consecutive win. But starter Victor Zambrano, who took a three-hitter into the eighth, walked Howie Clark and uncorked a wild pitch, allowing rookie Alexis Rios to score the tying run.
After Zambrano's wild pitch, the Devil Rays went quietly in the ninth and 10th. Jesus Colome (1-1), who gave up a hit in the ninth, was unable to get out of the bottom of the inning.
Dave Berg opened the inning with a single to left and Frank Menechino walked. After Howie Clark sacrificed, Johnson lined an 0-1 pitch up the middle to score pinch-runner Chris Woodward.
It was Tampa Bay's first loss since June 8.
Toronto starter Roy Halladay allowed just Robert Fick's RBI single among five hits in seven innings. After Vinnie Chulk allowed a hit in two innings, Jason Frasor (3-2) tossed a perfect 10th for the victory.
