Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
NOTTINGHAM, England, June 18 (UPI) -- Top seed Paradorn Srichaphan of Thailand and Sweden's Thoms Johansson reached the finals Friday in England's Nottingham Open.
Srichaphan routed Robin Soderling of Sweden 6-2, 6-2 in a match that lasted only 49 minutes. Johansson defeated American Taylor Dent, the sixth seed, 7-6 (7-4), 6-1.
The two meet Saturday for the championship in the grasscourt event. Srichaphan has not yet won a title on grass.
"I felt like I moved really well and I'm hitting the ball well," he said.
Johansson won the Nottingham tournament in 2001.
