Orioles' Gibbons back from injury

BALTIMORE, June 14 (UPI) -- Outfielder Jay Gibbons is back in the Baltimore Orioles' lineup.

Gibbons, who missed 19 games with a back injury, was removed from the disabled list Monday after a brief rehab stint with Class AA Bowie.

The Orioles optioned outfielder Tim Raines Jr. to Class AAA Omaha to make room on the roster for Gibbons. The team announced the moves prior to a game in Cleveland.

Gibbons' totals with the Orioles this season include a .250 average with six home runs and 25 runs-batted-in in 39 games.

Raines, who was called up by Baltimore when Gibbons was injured, batted .286 in eight games with the Orioles.
