Hrbaty, Kostanic out of Ordina Open tennis

'S-HERTOGENBOSCH, Netherlands, June 14 (UPI) -- Michaella Krajicek, sister of former Wimbledon champion Richard Krajicek, fainted Monday and had to retire from her match at the Ordina Open.

The 15-year-old top junior, playing in her home country, was trailing No. 7 Claudine Schaul of Luxembourg, 6-4, 3-1, but leading 40-30 on her service game. She began to sway back and forth before falling.

Germany's Anca Barna upset sixth-seeded Jelena Kostanic of Croatia, 6-4, 3-6, 6-2, but No. 8 Lina Krasnoroutskaya of Russia crushed Hungary's Melinda Czink, 6-2, 6-1. Krasnoroutskaya missed the last six weeks with an illness.

On the men's side, Jan Vacek of the Czech Republic downed fifth-seeded Dominik Hrbaty of Slovakia, 6-4, 6-4, sixth-seeded Russian Mikhail Youzhny beat Frenchman Antony Dupuis, 6-4, 6-0, and No. 8 Fernando Verdasco of Spain beat Switzerland's Jean-Claude Scherrer, 3-6, 7-6 (7-9), 6-4.
