Brown, who played for the Giants from 1953 to 1965, was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1975.

"Rosey was not only a fantastic football player but a wonderful man," said Hall of Fame President John Bankert. "He was a great friend of the Hall of Fame and will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife Lynda and his entire family at this very difficult time."

During his career, Brown, an offensive tackle, was voted to the Pro Bowl nine times and earned all-NFL honors eight straight seasons (1956-1963). He was selected in the 27th round of the NFL draft in 1953 by the Giants out of Morgan State.
