SEATTLE, June 6 (UPI) -- Randy Winn had four hits, including an RBI double in the ninth, as Seattle rallied Sunday against Billy Koch for a 5-4 victory over Chicago White Sox.
The Mariners were just 2-for-14 with runners in scoring position in the first eight innings. Both hits came from Winn, who had singles in the third and fifth innings and also homered in the seventh.
Chicago had a 4-2 edge when Seattle's Ichiro Suzuki opened the ninth with a single and scored on Winn's double into left-center.
After John Olerud walked, Bret Boone had a single to drive in Winn with the tying run. Koch (1-1) loaded the bases before walking Jolbert Cabrera to force in the game-winner.
Shigetoshi Hasegawa (2-3) tossed 1 2/3 scoreless innings to record the win for Seattle, which won the final two games of the series after losing six of its previous eight.
