BALTIMORE, June 6 (UPI) -- Rodrigo Lopez allowed three runs in 6 1/3 innings and closer Jorge Julio survived a shaky ninth inning Sunday as Baltimore posted a 5-4 win over Tampa Bay.
Julio gave up a run in the ninth, but earned his ninth save of the season after getting Tino Martinez to fly out with runners at first and third.
The Devil Rays led 2-1 in the third inning when Julio Lugo lined an RBI single to right that B.J. Surhoff appeared to catch, but first base umpire John Hirschbeck ruled it a trap allowing Aubrey Huff to score from second base.
In the fourth, Baltimore trailed 3-2, when Luis Matos hit a ground ball to shortstop with Javy Lopez on third. Julio Lugo checked the runner and fired to first, seemingly retiring Matos for the second out. But, Hirschbeck called Matos safe and Larry Bigbie followed with a sacrifice fly that tied the game.
