Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

SAN FRANCISCO, May 27 (UPI) -- Barry Bonds hit the 670th home run of his career as the San Francisco Giants beat Arizona 4-3 Wednesday.
Bonds slammed his 12th homer of the season in the fourth inning and drew a walk in the eighth, when the Giants staged a decisive two-run rally.
With Arizona leading 3-2 and the Giants batting in the eighth with one out, Marquis Grissom and Bonds walked and Pedro Feliz drove them in with a double.
Felix Rodriguez (2-3), one of four San Francisco relievers, got the win and Matt Herges pitched the ninth for his 14th save.
Arizona starter Casey Daigle allowed five hits and two runs in six innings. Rookie Brian Bruney (2-2) took the loss in relief.
