PITTSBURGH, May 21 (UPI) -- The scheduled game between Milwaukee and Pittsburgh was postponed Friday night due to the threat of severe weather.
The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm watch until 9 p.m. EDT in the Pittsburgh area, which was expected to be hit by winds exceeding 50 miles per hour, destructive hail, frequent lightning and very heavy rain.

The game was rescheduled as part of a doubleheader on July 2.
The series should get under way Saturday night. Ben Sheets will pitch for Milwaukee and Josh Fogg for Pittsburgh.
