MIAMI, May 18 (UPI) -- Lance Berkman collected four hits and Brad Ausmus drove in three runs Tuesday as the Houston Astros won 9-2 over the Florida Marlins.
Berkman had a pair of singles, an RBI double in the fourth inning and a solo homer with one out in the sixth.
The Astros jumped on Florida starter Dontrelle Willis early and pounded out 15 hits. They took a 3-0 lead in the second innings, then added two runs in the fourth as Berkman doubled in Richard Hidalgo and scored on a base hit by Ausmus.
All the offense made a winner of Wade Miller (5-3). Less than a week after suffering a neck injury, the righthander gave up two runs and seven hits in 5 2/3 innings.
The Astros put the game out of reach with a three-run sixth as Berkman belted his sixth home run and Ausmus added a two-run blast.
