SHANGHAI, May 15 (UPI) -- Englishman Simon Dyson shot a 6-under-par 66 Saturday to maintain his commanding lead after the third round of the BMW Asian Open.
Dyson finished the round at 15-under 201 -- six shots ahead of Spanish Ryder Cup star Miguel Angel Jiminez and Thailand's Prayad Marksaeng.
Dyson had a run of five consecutive birdies between holes five and nine en route to matching his first-round score, which he consolidated with nine pars on the way in.
Dyson would have entered Sunday's final round only four shots clear had it not been for a seven at the final hole from the Spaniard.
Jiminez threatened to put pressure on Dyson after moving alone into second place with a run of four birdies on the back nine.
Dyson seeks to continue his success in China, where he won the Macau Open, the China Open and the Hong Kong Open while claiming the Asian Order of Merit in 2000.
