PHILADELPHIA, May 1 (UPI) -- Carlos Baerga, batting for Randy Johnson, hit a three-run homer off Vicente Padilla in the top of the sixth Saturday as Arizona beat Philadelphia, 6-4.
It was the first homer since July 8 for Baerga, who was just 1-for-12 this season.
Danny Bautista went 0-for-3, ending his career-high 21-game hitting streak, but contributed a pair of sacrifice flies for Arizona.
Padilla (0-4) took a 3-0 lead into the sixth. But center fielder Doug Glanville misplayed Steve Finley's deep fly ball into a triple, starting a four-run rally.
After Finley scored on Bautista's sacrifice fly, rookie Chad Tracy walked and Rob Hammock doubled, setting the stage for Baerga, who drilled a 3-2 offering over the center field wall.
The homer made a winner of Johnson (3-2), who allowed three runs and four hits in five innings with a walk and nine strikeouts.
