Singh finished with a 72-total of 11-under-par 277 at the Redstone Golf Club. It was his second victory in the Houston tournament, second this year and 17th on the PGA Tour.

The Monday finish was necessary because rain suspended play at various stages of the tournament for three straight days.

Scott Hoch shot a 67 and finished second at 9-under-par 279, followed by John Huston at 280. Stephen Ames and Dudley Hart tied for fourth at 6-under 282, followed by John Daly, Jose Coceres, Rory Sabbatini and Paul Azinger at at 5-under 283.

Singh, who also won the Pebble Beach Pro-Am in February and is second behind Tiger Woods in the world rankings, won $900,000, raising his season total to $3.35 million.

Boston Celtics to hire new coach

WALTHAM, Mass., April 26 (UPI) -- The Boston Celtics are looking for a new coach.

Danny Ainge, the team's director of basketball operations, said Monday John Carroll, who had been interim coach since Jim O'Brien resigned in January, will not return next season.

"This is a time we need to make a change ... and John and I felt the same way, that a change is needed," Ainge told reporters at the Sports Authority Training Center in Waltham.

"John Carroll did a fantastic job for our team, based on the circumstances he was given, and the perception of not having a great deal of power is a difficult one to be in."

O'Brien quite over philosophical differences with Ainge.

The Celtics got into the playoffs but were swept by the Indiana Pacers.

"A coach is a coaching staff, just like a team is made of 12 players," Ainge said. "The next coach will be someone hired not just because of his (background) but that of his coaching staff."

Kournikova sues parents over Miami home

MIAMI, April 26 (UPI) -- Tennis star Anna Kournikova has filed a countersuit against her parents, who are suing her over ownership of a Miami Beach mansion.

Sergei and Alla Kournikova, who are separated and may divorce, sued their daughter in Miami-Dade Circuit Court on April 15, seeking to have the house partitioned three ways.

But in a suit filed Wednesday, Anna, 22, is seeking to have her parents' names removed from the deed, the Miami Daily Business Review reported Monday.

In her suit, Anna said it was always understood the house belonged to her since she paid the entire $5 million price.

She said her parents' names were on the title because they asked to be for estate-planning reasons.

Anna's lawyer said she tried to resolve the matter out of court and is "terribly saddened by the situation."

The parents' attorney countered it was always understood the family would share the house equally, since they "gave up everything they have for her tennis career."
