DENVER, April 25 (UPI) -- Carmelo Anthony and Andre Miller led the Denver Nuggets to a 107-86 triumph Saturday against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Marcus Camby chipped in 12 points and 16 rebounds for Denver, which had lost by 14 points in each of the first two contests in the best-of-seven series but never trailed in this one.

It was the Nuggets' first playoff victory since winning Game Six of the 1994 conference semifinals against Utah. Denver lost Game Seven of that series, was swept in three games by San Antonio the following year, and missed the playoffs the next eight seasons.

The Nuggets jumped out to a 23-6 lead, had a 30-18 cushion after one quarter and a 54-41 advantage at halftime.

Minnesota pulled within 67-59 on a 3-pointer by Latrell Sprewell with 6:24 left in the third quarter before Denver embarked on an 11-0 run over the next 3:12 to effectively put away the game.
