SAVANNAH, Ga., April 24 (UPI) -- Gil Morgan kept his lead Saturday at the $2.3 million Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf Champions Tour event Saturday with a 4-under-par 68.
Morgan leads with a 36-hole total of 11-under 133. Hale Irwin and Dave Barr are at 134, with Craig Stadler and Gary Koch at 135. Six others are within five strokes of the lead.
Morgan started and finished the day with a one-stroke edge, thanks to his 65 on Friday. He played a bogeyless front nine in 1-under, then had four birdies and a bogey on the back.
Irwin, the winningest player in Champions Tour history, bogeyed the first hole and double-bogeyed the sixth around a pair of birdies.
While Irwin and Morgan have combined for 61 wins on the elder circuit, Barr has just one in parts of three seasons. But he's had 11 birdies and only one bogey this week.
