Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

MILWAUKEE, April 23 (UPI) -- Milwaukee Brewers left-hander Chris Capuano was placed on the 15-day disabled list Friday with a thigh injury.
A team report said Capuana has a strained left quadriceps. His placement on the injured list is retroactive to Monday, so he will be eligible to return to the lineup May 4.
Right-hander Chris Saens was called up from Class AA Huntsville in the Southern League to fill Capuano's spot on the roster. Saens is 1-1 with a 3.86 earned run average this season.
Capuano, who is 1-2 with a 3.46 ERA, is in his first season with the Brewers. He was acquired from the Arizona Cardinals during the off-season.
