New Orleans completed a rough 1-4 West Coast trip with Tuesday's loss at Sacramento. The Hornets were without injured leading scorers Baron Davis and Jamal Mashburn for the trek and fell to sixth in the Eastern Conference.

Back home with two days of rest, the Hornets looked refreshed. They jumped to a 24-17 lead after one quarter, then pulled away after the Celtics grabbed a 43-41 halftime edge.

New Orleans held Boston to just 12 points in the third quarter. The Celtics missed 20 of their first 24 shots of the second half.

David Wesley scored 19 points for the Hornets, who swept the four-game season series from the Celtics. New Orleans (39-40) remained one game behind fifth-place Miami in the East.
