DENVER, April 3 (UPI) -- Marcus Camby had 20 points and 12 rebounds and rookie Carmelo Anthony scored 20 points Friday night as Denver defeated Houston, 110-100.

Denver (40-37) moved into a virtual tie with Portland for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference playoff. Houston (42-33) is in seventh place.

After facing last-place Phoenix on Wednesday, the Nuggets visit Houston and host Portland. They end the season against a pair of playoff-bound powerhouses in San Antonio and Sacramento.

Andre Miller and Nene scored 14 points apiece and Jon Barry added 10 and 10 assists for Denver, which never trailed after the first quarter and led by as many as 18 points.
