ST. LOUIS, March 28 (UPI) -- Will Bynum sank a three-pointer with 1:56 left in overtime Sunday to lift Georgia Tech to a 79-71 win over Kansas in the NCAA St. Louis Region final.

Georgia Tech (27-9), which blew a seven-point lead with 3:56 left in regulation, will make its second Final Four trip in school history and first since 1990. The Yellow Jackets will face Oklahoma State in a national semifinal.

Jarrett Jack led Georgia Tech, which prevailed despite getting a limited effort from leading scorer B.J. Elder, who moved gingerly because of a sprained right ankle suffered in Friday's win over Nevada.

Jack scored a career-high 29 points and his pass to Bynum for the three-pointer that snapped a 71-71 tie.

Kansas (24-9) missed a chance to tie when Michael Lee's three-pointer rimmed out. Jack converted four foul shots and Marvin Lewis added one in the final 46 seconds to seal the win.
