NHL: Boston 4, Ottawa 2

BOSTON, March 23 (UPI) -- Sergei Samsonov and Glen Murray each had a goal and an assist and rookie Andrew Raycroft made 28 saves Tuesday as Boston beat Ottawa, 4-2.

The Bruins quickly took advantage of a clearing mistake by goaltender Patrick Lalime 4:45 into the first period as Travis Green tallied his 10th goal.

Samsonov gave Boston a 2-0 advantage 7:03 into the second with his 12th. It was his first goal in three games since missing 11 contests with bruised ribs.

Martin Havlat notched his 29th goal on the power play 3:07 into the second period to get Ottawa going, but Murray answered a little more than three minutes later with his 30th.

The Senators got within a goal less than a minute later on Jason Spezza's 21st. However, defenseman Nick Boynton gave the Bruins an insurance goal with 6:59 left.

Defenseman Sergei Gonchar collected two assists for the Bruins.
