ENGLEWOOD, Colo., March 22 (UPI) -- Veteran safety John Lynch, who has been named to the Pro Bowl five times, signed a contract Monday with the Denver Broncos.
ESPN said Lynch, released earlier this month by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, signed a three-year deal that totals $9 million including a $2.5 million bonus.

"We're really excited to get a guy of this caliber," said Denver General Manager Ted Sundquist. "He's been a champion. He knows what it takes to win a Super Bowl."
The 32-year-old Lynch played for Tampa Bay 11 years. His play was limited last season because of a shoulder injury.
The Broncos Monday also signed defensive end Raylee Jackson and defensive tackle Luther Elliss.
