He is seeking his 24th Champions Tour victory, which would tie him for fourth on the all-time list with Bob Charles behind Hale Irwin, Lee Trevino and Miller Barber.

Also contending in the Toshiba Classic are 2004 tournament winners Fuzzy Zoeller, Bruce Fleisher, Craig Stadler, Mark McNulty and Ed Fiori. Others include defending champion Rodger Davis and Hale Irwin, the only two-time Toshiba winner.

Jack Nicklaus is also entered, playing in the event for the first time.

The tournament is played on the 6,598-yard Newport Beach Country Club couse. First prize is $240,000.
