NBA: Washington 114, Sacramento 108

WASHINGTON, March 17 (UPI) -- Kwame Brown had career highs of 30 points and 19 rebounds Wednesday night as Washington snapped a seven-game skid by stunning Sacramento, 114-108.

A disappointment since Michael Jordan selected him out of high school with the first overall pick in 2001, Brown enjoyed a career night while matching up at times against one of the NBA's best power forwards -- Chris Webber.

Brown dominated from the outset, proving to be much quicker than Webber, who recently returned from knee surgery. He made his first seven shots and scored 16 points in the first quarter.

Webber finished with 16 points. But he also committed five of the Kings' 20 turnovers and threw up a wild, underhand shot over the backboard with 1:26 remaining with Sacramento trailing, 107-103.

Wizards point guard Gilbert Arenas also outplayed Mike Bibby by collecting 27 points, 10 assists and eight steals.
