ST. PAUL, Minn., March 14 (UPI) -- Alexandre Daigle scored 2:43 into the third period Sunday as the Minnesota Wild rallied from a two-goal deficit to beat the Columbus Blue Jackets, 3-2.
Breaking into the offensive zone, Daigle ripped a slap shot from the left faceoff circle that trickle between the legs of goaltender Marc Denis.
After a scoreless first period, the Blue Jackets received power-play goals by David Vyborny and Trevor Letowski. Vyborny got his 20th goal and Letowski recorded his 13th.
Richard Park started the Wild's rally with 2:45 left in the second and defenseman Nick Schultz converted with the man advantage a little more than two minutes later to knot it with 24 seconds remaining in the period.
Manny Fernandez made 19 saves for the Wild, who extended their unbeaten streak to five games (2
3-0).
Denis had 27 saves as Columbus dropped its sixth straight.
