AUBURN HILLS, Mich., March 14 (UPI) -- Detroit extended its NBA record for consecutive games holding opponents under 70 points to five Sunday while rolling to an 85-69 victory over Philadelphia.
Ben Wallace and Rasheed Wallace were too much for Philadelphia inside. Without Allen Iverson, the Sixers got little from guards Eric Snow and Aaron McKie, who combined to shoot 4-of-16 from the field.
Sixers power forward Kenny Thomas, who entered the game with 10 straight double-doubles, made just 2-of-9 shots and scored eight points.
Detroit blocked 10 shots, four by Ben Wallace.
Rasheed Wallace finished with 14 points, eight rebounds and two blocks and Corliss Williamson had 16 points for the Pistons.
Iverson missed his fourth straight game with a sore right knee.
A 20-9 run in the second half helped the Pistons open a 66-49 lead with 2:46 left in the third quarter.
