Tai Streets joins Detroit Lions

ALLEN PARK, Mich., March 10 (UPI) -- Free agent wide receiver Tai Streets signed a one-year contract Wednesday with the Detroit Lions.

Streets, who was drafted by San Francisco in 1999 and played the past five seasons with the 49ers, caught 47 passes for 595 yards and seven touchdowns last year.

The 6-foot-3 former University of Michigan star, who visited the Lions Allen Park training facility Tuesday, will rejoin Detroit Coach Steve Mariucci, who coached him in San Francisco through the 2002 season.
