AUBURN HILLS, Mich., March 10 (UPI) -- Chauncey Billups scored 19 points and Rasheed Wallace 18 Wednesday night, but it was Detroit's defense that carried it past Chicago, 98-65.
The Pistons extended their NBA record for consecutive games holding opponents under 70 points to four.
Detroit shot 55 percent from the field and limited Chicago to 31 percent as it beat the Bulls for the ninth straight time. The Pistons have won 22 of the last 24 meetings since Michael Jordan retired following the 1997-98 season.
The Pistons scored the game's first nine points -- holding the Bulls without a point for nearly five minutes.
Reserve Kendall Gill scored 12 points and Linton Johnson added 10 and 14 rebounds for the Bulls, who have lost four straight games and eight of 10.
