LOS ANGELES, March 7 (UPI) -- The Montreal Canadians, behind a 46-save performance by Mathieu Garon, beat the Los Angeles Kings 4-2 Saturday night.
Richard Zednik scored two goals for Montreal, which has won six of its last seven games.

The save total was the highest of Garon's NHL career. Thirty-four of his saves came in the last two periods.
Los Angeles took 11 of the game's first 12 shots but couldn't get one past Garon. The Canadiens then took a 2-0 lead on goals by Steve Begin and Yanic Perreault, who got his 400th NHL point.
The Canadiens never trailed in the game.
