Wade started at right tackle for the Miami Dolphins since joining the NFL in 2000.
He is expected to replace Greg Robinson-Randall, who is now an unrestricted free agent, at right tackle for the Texans.
Wade said that with contract talks not working out with the Dolphins "I knew that once I got in free agency if I got a good deal I was going to take it."
