CHICAGO, March 2 (UPI) -- The Chicago Bulls Tuesday waived 35-year-old forward Corie Blount, who had been placed on the injured list during the weekend.

The 6-foot-10 Blount averaged 4.5 points and 4.5 rebounds in 46 games this season.

He sprained his left knee in practice on Friday and was placed on the injured list the next day.

Blount started his NBA career with Chicago in 1993. After two seasons with the Bulls, he played for the Los Angeles Lakers, Cleveland, Phoenix, Golden State and Philadelphia before returning to Chicago in the 2002-03 season.
