CHICAGO, Feb. 28 (UPI) -- Chicago Bulls forward Corie Blount was placed on the injured list Saturday after suffering a left knee sprain in practice Friday.
Blount is averaging 4.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 46 games this season, including three starts. He is shooting 47 percent from the field.

In an another move, the Bulls signed rookie forward Linton Johnson III to a 10-day contract. Rejoining the Bulls after making the team out of training camp last fall, he appeared in 18 games -- four starts -- with Chicago, averaging 1.6 points and 1.6 rebounds in 8.3 minutes per contest.
The 6-8 Johnson averaged 15.6 points and 8.5 rebounds in 21 games this season with the Rockford Lightning of the CBA.
