Jets sign ex-CFL nquarterback Ricky Ray

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y., Feb. 27 (UPI) -- The New York Jets Friday signed quarterback Ricky Ray, who led the Edmonton Eskimos to the 2003 Canadian Football League championship.

The signing of Ray comes a day after Vinny Testaverde, the Jets' 40-year-old backup quarterback, said he was considering retirement.
