DENVER, Feb. 26 (UPI) -- Veteran center Darby Hendrickson is now a member of his fifth National Hockey League team -- the Colorado Avalanche.

Colorado acquired Hendrickson Wednesday from the Minnesota Wild for a fourth-round draft pick in 2005.

As part of the deal, the Avalanche also got Minnesota's eighth-round pick in this year's draft.

Hendrickson, 31, has also played for the Toronto Maple Leafs, who drafted him in 1990, the New York Islanders and Vancouver Canucks.

Hendrickson played in only 14 games this season for the Wild.
