ATLANTA, Feb. 25 (UPI) -- The Atlanta Thrashers Wednesday claimed Colorado Avalanche left wing Brad Larsen off waivers.

Thrashers Vice President and General Manager Don Waddell said the 26-year-old Larsen will join the team in practice Thursday.

The 6-foot, 200-pound Larsen missed a month of this season with a groin injury, playing in 26 games with the Avalanche. He played part of the season for Hershey in the American Hockey League.
