BOSTON, Feb. 23 (UPI) -- Roberto Luongo had 38 saves for his fifth shutout Monday as Florida posted a 2-0 victory over Boston, who failed to get a point for the first time in 13 games.
Florida has two wins and two ties in four meetings with Boston this season, allowing only three goals. Luongo has been in the nets for all four games, stopping 142 of 145 shots.
Andrew Raycroft also was sharp for the Bruins, recording 30 saves.
The first goal the rookie gave up came on a deflection early in the second period as Darcy Hordichuk redirected Mathieu Biron's soft shot from the blue line at 2:49.
Luongo's best save came with just under eight minutes left in the second period, when he made a glove save on a backhander in front by rookie Patrice Bergeron.
Defenseman Andreas Lilja provided insurance 9:43 into the third period when he snapped a shot inside the left goalpost.
