NFL cautious, cancels JC at Pro Bowl

HONOLULU, Feb. 5 (UPI) -- The NFL has canceled a performance by JC Chasez at this weekend's Pro Bowl in Honolulu, citing caution after the Super Bowl halftime nudity fiasco.

Chasez was scheduled to perform "Blowin' Me Up (With Her Love)" during halftime of the NFL Pro Bowl, a song from the soundtrack for 2002's PG-13-rated "Drumline," E! Online reported Thursday.

"We thought it was over the top," NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said. "It was because of the song and how we believed it was going to be choreographed. We wanted to go in a different direction."

In lieu of Chasez' performance, the halftime entertainment will now be Hawaiian-themed in celebration of the Pro Bowl's 25th anniversary being played in the Aloha State.

"No one could be more disappointed than I ... I've told the NFL I understand the pressure they are under since the Super Bowl," Chasez said.

During Sunday's Super Bowl halftime show, singer Janet Jackson exposed her breast when Justin Timberlake ripped off a portion of her costume, a move that Jackson has admitted to planning.

Incidentally, Timberlake and Chasez once were bandmates in 'N Sync.
