HOUSTON, Jan. 28 (UPI) -- The New England Patriots had a change of plans for Wednesday's 90-minute practice.

After being scheduled to work out at Rice University, the team got approval from the NFL to practice the rest of the week at the Houston Texans' indoor facility across the street from Reliant Stadium.

"We thought it would be in the best interest of our football team to be here," Patriots Coach Bill Belichick said. "This is probably similar to the conditions we'll be playing in, in terms of wind.

"It will be a little different surface, but this is fine."
