COL BKB: Misisippi State 71, Georgia 58

STARKVILLE, Miss., Jan. 24 (UPI) -- Winsome Frazier's hot early shooting sparked No. 20 Mississippi State to a quick start Saturday en route to a 71-58 SEC victory over Georgia.

Mississippi State (16-1) won its third straight, scoring the game's first 19 points. Frazier scored eight points in the run, including a three-pointer at the 12:54 mark for the 19-0 cushion.

Georgia (9-7) missed its first 10 shots. Damien Wilkins' three-point play just over eight minutes into the contest finally got Georgia on the board.

Lawrence Roberts netted 17 points to lead Mississippi State and Timmy Bowers chipped in 15. It marked Mississippi State's third straight double-digit victory.
